Byte-Sized Adventure Makerspace

Byte Sized Makerspace

Welcome to our makerspace! A makerspace is a collaborative workspace, and ours is housed here in the IMS Media Center. Makerspaces use high tech and no tech tools to engage students in learning critical skills in the STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and math. Activities in our makerspace include electronics, 3D printing, 3D modeling, VR, coding, and robotics. Our makerspace also fosters invention and entrepreneurship through design thinking activities and our program, GRIND.

Byte-Sized Adventure is our lunchtime makerspace opportunity, where students visit the Media Center for STEM activities during their lunch periods. Students can participate in STEM lessons and also in twice-monthly interest group meetups. Our current interest groups include:

In Stitches (Sewing, Knitting, Crochet, Macrame)
Yeah, Write (IMS Writers Group)
A Little Sketchy (Drawing)
Animatiacs (Animation)
