Media Center FAQ
-
If you have no overdue books, no lost books, and no owed fees on your account, you may check out two books per lending period. If you have overdue books or unpaid book or technology fees, you may check out one book.
-
The lending period for book checkout is up to three weeks. New books cannot be renewed, but older books can be renewed once after your first two-week loan.
-
The IMS Media Center does not charge late fees, but return your book as quickly as you can. The quicker you return a book, the less likely you are to lose or damage it.
-
If the book is damaged beyond reasonable repair, you will have to pay the replacement cost of the book.
-
If the book is lost, you will have to pay the replacement cost of the book. The replacement fee is waived if you find it, so keep looking! You can return a lost book at any time and, as long as it is not damaged, the lost fee will be waived.
-
You will receive emails in your student GMail account showing any overdue books and technology fees you owe. Fees can be paid online using our school district's RevTrak payment system, which can be accessed here: RevTrakLinks to an external site. You do not have to pay fees in full, and can make partial payments as often as you need to.
You can also view your current checkouts and fees by logging into your Destiny Discover app via ClassLink.
-
Fees owed on your student account follow you to high school if they are unpaid while here at IMS. Unpaid fees may keep you from being able to participate in extra-curricular activities, so make sure you pay them as quickly as you can.
