Robert Hermann, Principal

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL:

I am so proud of our students as they put in such great effort and are working hard to learn new things in their classes. We have also seen a huge amount of participation this year in not only their academics but also in a variety of extra curricular activities.

During the first days of school, Mr. Porcelli, Dean of Students, and I had the honor of meeting with all the students to discuss the expectations for the school year. We shared our new PBIS expectations of All Chargers are Respectful and Responsible. We also talked about the importance of them trying new things and getting involved with their school. After hearing about all the clubs and activities at IMS, a student raised their hand and asked “Does IMS have an Art club?” At that moment, we did not. However, I decided to see what we could come up with. Long story short , our art teacher, Ms. Sincore, has agreed to start an art club and will be starting soon.

I am so proud of our students for having the courage to try new things and belong to new clubs. I am excited to see what they can do this year.

Sincerely,

Rob Hermann

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), requires every state and district to publish report cards that show how the state, district and schools are doing with regard to student achievement and success. Part of this report card is the School Financial Report. Please see the links below for further information.

PBIS Character Education

Each month IMS will focus on a character word that engages our students to think and act with strong character. There will be activities that are scheduled during homerooms with each "word of the month".

Character Word of the Month for September: RESPECT
